Fred the Squirrel

This is Fred. He was named after Fred Sanford because he grabs his chest while staring at my tomato plant. "I'm coming Elizabeth, this is the big one."

Or maybe, he is just shocked that I can grow tomatoes on my deck.

Do you know how hard it is to get a picture of a hawk? This guy has been hanging around for a while and every time I pick up my camera - he bolts.

Are there real hummingbirds in hummingbird cake?

When I was little, our school served a nasty concoction of yellow cake and pineapple and called it hummingbird cake - go figure.
