This little guy showed up in the backyard around 4:30 yesterday for a quick visit. What is he? A wolf? A coyote? He looks too big to be a fox.

Whenever someone says they've seen a wolf I always think Coyote.
I find it incredibly hard to beleive that you have a red wolf in your backyard: red wolves and coyotes look a lot a like- as your picture shows
There are also many people who breed hybrids. By the way, where do you live?
